Gary is the CEO and Founder of SCM. Utilizing his 40 plus years of experience in business and academia, he brings a wealth of knowledge and trust that helps drive the strategic direction of SCM.

In addition to founding SCM, Gary owned and CPA practice started in 1974. He is also Professor Emeritus of Accounting and Taxation with 40 years in academia. This well-rounded career laid the groundwork for the creation and philosophy of the wealth management firm, SCM. He has authored numerous publications in accounting, taxation, financial planning, and legal journals. In addition he has authored and presented continuing education courses for CPA’s in 27 states and Canada.
Gary has a BS and MS in Accounting from California State University Northridge and DBA (Doctor or Business Administration) in Accounting from University of Southern California. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Personal Financial Specialist.
Gary is a Southern California native who enjoys living at the beach and spending time with his wife of 45+ years and 4 grandchildren.
